1 week rendevous getaway to Bangkok and KL - Part 1

My 1st true holiday (where I travelled by flight i mean) for the year! Bangkok, the place where I nvr wld have thot I would njoy and spend >2 days there. Truth be told, I was there for 4 days, and quite like it! I did not plan to go Bangkok this year (totally not in my plan) but 3weeks b4 the trip, my friend managed to persuade me to take the trip with her (literally with her cos i was there for leisure, she was there for business). So with the lure of free 5-star accomodation, I got hooked and booked my return flight to bangkok. Suddenly I started to feel excited, and penned my shopping list!
Wendy in the room

Swimming pool in the hotel

Armed with S$200 SGD worth of Thai Baht (and credit cards + extra SGD), i went to my fren's house on sat nite to stay over so that I can get to the airport easier the next morn for the 630am flight. I was scheduled to arrive abt 1.5hrs b4 my fren (who was taking SQ flight). After we arrived, took the limo to the hotel (Sheraton Grand), the 1st stop was Chatuchak Market. 2hours of shopping in Chatuchak set me back at 1,440B(~S$65) and several items off my shopping list. Bought bikinis(yes i'm a bikini whore), slippers, sunglasses, hat, shorts, top....

Back to hotel for a short rest, drop off our shopping items and off to MBK, the mega shopping mall! My damage there, only 619B(~S$28) cos it's only the 1st day at MBK, look ard for the good deals b4 striking the next day.
Me at Chinatown
Me at durian stall
At night, it's Chinatown time for FOOD! 1st stop, kaya toast (much like the SG version but the kaya is orange and less sweet). Then, it's durian eating along the streets. 1st time eating durian in like 2 years at least! 100B for like 9 seeds. The taste - dry, not too sweet, OK. More shopping for thai food, then last stop was Sharks' fins and bird's nest soup. We were oredi quite full by then. 300B for Shrks' fins, 200B for bird's nest soup. I did not drink bird's nest cos I don't like. Sharks' fins soup was quite nice, thick n with quite alot of ingredients in it.

Shark's fins and bird's nest soup

2nd day, I was off on my own, shopping at Central World and splurged on Bras!! Haha, cheap cheap! N it's not ABC brand but brands like Warcoal and Triumph. Then I had the famous Thailand Kaya Toast! They have different flavours of Kaya and i had the Taro flavoured kaya toast. The kaya is smooth n thick. Yum Yum. It's at emporium shopping centre 5th level, beside Body shop. Must go try! 20B per piece! Night time was dinner with Alvin tan (ex-colleague) at Fuji Japanese Restaurant.

Taro flavoured kaya toast

More shopping on the 3rd day and dinner by the roadside, fishball noodle soup for 30B. Quite nice! 4th and last day, a morning 2hr thai massage and off to the airport for the trip back home.

Total damage = 9,186B(~S$412) Wow Bangkok is evil!!

Next stop - KL family trip

Brazilian Virgin - No More!

No pain no gain...Nope not talking about Tattoo.. That plan I think gota KIV for the moment (resistance from higher level). So went for another treatment - Brazilian Wax! Haha... My friend has mentioned this plan just a few days ago n well y not just go for it! INitially we were going for just the bikini wax (just bikini line area), but after consultation with the Strip therapist (I resist calling them Stripist), all-off Brazilian Wax is more worth it for us. Reason being, well, there just isnt much hair around the bikini line for them to wax off! Haha, we're just not hairy enuff! Whatever, so we braced ourselves for the full on Brazilian wax! FYI, Brazilian wax means all hair off the private area down there :P

Isit as painful as depicted on TV? Where women just go screaming their heads off at the sound of 'zesh'? Oh, all those are nonsense! Exaggerated! Made for TV drama! Not painful at all! Ok, u'll feel ur hair being pulled off, but that's just it! I wouldn't call it painful, juz like a slight pinch.. All those worries for nothing! N the feeling is quite shiok! Feels so clean n tidy now hahaha...Kinky... Definitely will go back again... But gota let my hair grow b4 i go, so that the process is more worth it (u noe, wax off more hair for the same price) The whole process is quite fast, 15mins max! Nothing to be afraid of! Come ladies, go for it!!

Oh sorrie, no pictures for this one, it's XXX-rated ok... U'll just have to go experience urself if u wana noe how it goes... www.strip.com.sg

Attack of the Sequels!!!

This is the year of the Attack of the Sequels!! Yes, all the Hollywood blockbusters are sequels!!!

Spidey 3, Pirates of the Carribean (part 3), Shrek 3, Ocean's 13, Fantastic 4 (2nd movie), Harry Potter (5th movie), and what have u lined up... Well well, are they running out of ideas for new movies? But then again, if it ain't broken, don mend it rite?

Talking about sequels, notice how many 3rd installments there are! N I have watched all but one! Spidey3, pirates and Shrek 3... I have watched them all...N truth is, 3rd installment doesnt quite live up to expectation.

Spidey 3 - A little too draggy on the emotional parts, the relationships... Too little time on the action. Too many villians n too little time on them. Overall, too slow (it's abt 2.5hrs long i think) and the action only comes in at the very last part which was like rather short. Not my fav (think part 2 is still the best).

Pirates of the Carribean: At world's end - 2.5hrs long movie! Front part too slow and draggy. Introducing new characters, trying to build up the story. We need more Captain jack sparrow, will turner & elizabeth! They are the main attractions! Bu too little focus on them and too late. Only till the middle did the movie pick up steam on the action & adventure. Oh Will turner (aka Orlando Bloom) is just so damn dashing n handsome!! Overall, it is still so much better than Spidey 3. At least the action & the effects are just so cool!! But the thing I don't believe is that Eliz is willing to wait 10yrs for her hubby (Will) for just 1 day of reunion. Phew, is that possible? I mean, isn't that like the same as being a widow? N how many 10yrs can u wait! We're talking 10yrs here, not 10days, 10 weeks or 10mths! Is their love for each other so damn strong to withstand the 10yrs of agonising waiting, longing & lust? In reality, I reali don think it's possible. Somemore, they don't have internet of handphone to keep in contact...

Moving on

Shrek 3 - Well what to say... It's just an animation. It is realli damn funny though, but i think the supporting casts outshone shrek! Yes, it shld not been called Shrek anymore but Shrek N Friends ( more emphasis on Friends) cos the supportings are just too damn furnie & interesting! Like Pinochio (just love the way he managed to talk his way through, hiding the fact that he knows where Shrek is but still not lying cos he can't), Gingerbread man (how he juz phased out when threatened, hence avoiding being asked by Prince Charming), Puss (Oh he is just so cute with his innocent eyes), Donkey(irritated by his incessant talkings but furnie)... Shrek? Who cares?! Of cos, as un-Disney as it is, it is still a Happily Ever after ending... with 3 Ogre babies!! Brainless movie, good for de-stressing and getting things off my mind..

So what's next? Maybe I shld watch Ocean's 13 to complete my list of trilogy watched. But then again, I don't like any of the actors in the movie. George Clooney - Y do pple find him so sexy? Argh he's old n ugly! Brad Pitt - Ar... No comments, don reali like him anyway. Matt Damon - Not good looking but the least hateful of the lot. The rest - No recollection at all! Haha.. It's just a heist movie. Can't even rem Ocean's 12 plot. Fantastic 4, not a fan.. What movie to watch? Harry Potter? Maybe lo, just to complete the series, not a fan as well.. Think out of the 4 movies, at least 2 i watched it on DVD (pirated somemore) keke...

Haha, maybe i shld just stick to my YOutube videos! Yes, I'm now offically a YouTube Whore!! Hooked desperately on YouTube, watching all my Next Top Models series - American, Canada, Britain, Germany, Australia, U name it I watch it. Oh man, YouTube is just such a wonderful invention!!! I can just spend my whole day watching non-stop! Now following Canada's NTM.. Finishing up Germany's NTM soon... Yes, I'm a video whore.. I still have my animes to catch up.. I need more free time!!

Waterspout Spotted!!

Picture no1
Picture no2

Unusual sight in Singapore today at One Raffles Quay - Waterspout!! For those who don't noe what's waterspout (courtesy of Jeremiah), it's like a twister but in water. Around 3+pm (i think), there was suddenly a commotion and a colleague asked if i was going to take a look. I was like 'look at what', and it was a waterspout!

E'ryone in office juz rushed over to the partner's room to get a good view of the waterspout. For a moment, we all thot our lives were in danger!! Actually we were just expecting early release home hahaha.. Damn it... But it looked rather scary, quite big though...

Finally it's friday!! N tomorrow, no parents for 8 days!!!!!!!! N this wkend, home alone!! Horray!! I love being home alone. Don understand y some pple (of quite a few pple) don like. Say i crazy to love being home alone! What's so bad abt that? NOTHING!!! Everything is great home alone (ok except for the fact that i have to wash the clothes n clean up...) but the thing is no government!! No fishy eyes ard the corner, no more feeling like pairs of eyes watching over u (tho most of the time they don, but u juz have that feeling). I'm Free!!! I can do whatever i want! Wake up at watever hour i like, eat or don eat watever i like, do watever i like, lay ard wherever i like.... hmmm maybe i can try sleeping naked!!! Wahahahahah!! See, that's what i like abt being homme alone! Totally free to try out new things... Or hold a great party (lots of booze n sex hahaha NOT). But not this wkend...let me njoy being home alone for just this precious once in a lifetime moment!

Ooo... Confirm going bangkok (aka BKK) in June. Leech on wendy's hotel accomo...n do some real shopping this time! I have not realli shopped in BKK b4. 1st year training in EY was held in BKK n seriously not realli alot of shopping but quite a considerable amt (not many trophies in terms of clothes or shoes). 2nd time a 1 day stopover in BKK enroute to Hanoi, did some shopping but it was not my main aim that time. So this time, i shall term it my shopping trip! Damn, i'm going to bleed terribly.... What to buy? Clothes (beach wear hahaha, shorts, hopefully office wear, dresses), bikinis (i'm starting to become a bikini whore), shoes (hopefully can find some nice shoes), lingerie (triumph is cheap cheap cheap), bags (cheap cheap cheap). Damn like so many things, mayb i shld go with an empty bag hahahah.... Clothes can buy there (Anyone who has more shopping ideas or places, pls recommend!!)..... Wow suddenly i'm so excited abt a shopping trip...This is so NOT ME!!! Ok, once in a while muz go for shopping spree...so relax i'm still the backpacker Me. I wun change... I still like scrim n save n trips, n not shop but look ard n njoy the atmosphere. Diving trip a definitely must back to Perhentian. When? Hopefully end June? DX n MT can or not? Else no time liao hahahah....

Night out at St James

18th May 2007 - Friday night 630pm. That's the start of the official (long awaited) post-peak chill out session organised by AABS 22 Social Committee! Venue is at the most happening place at the moment - St James Power Station! Free flow of beer, soft drinks & housepour!! Yeah... I don't care about beer, but as long as there'r housepours, I'm onz! But of cos, it's limited free flow i.e. 3 barrels of beer, 10 bottles of housepour throughout the night.
As usual, being the kind soul that I am, n being the number help for lcs (manager), i was called upon to be the recep for the night! Fine...No harm being the recep. Me n lcs mandled the booth from 630pm all the way till abt 8+pm before we proceeded to Gallery Bar to enjoy the party! And it was a perfect timing cos housepour started at 830pm! Yeah, let the drinking begin!

Me n Seow Seow b4 she got drunk

It was a great gathering party, the turnout was great! Chatting n gossiping through the night, saw a lot of colleagues who were forever MIA (Missing In Action) as e'ryone was out on job. Great time spent talking n gossiping about the latest news, latest happenings n what's gg on in life. Of cos great time drinking! 6 shots n 5 mix down my stomach! Shiok but i did not get high! Well well, i'm getting pretty good at drinking! Some of my colleagues were wasted after about 1 shot n 1 mix... Didnt reali get to explore St james ( there r several rooms in St james) cos some of my colleagues were drunk so had to take care of them... What a waste...Well i shall go back another day to truly explore!

Feeling not high enuff, we left St James for 2nd round! A total of 9 of us (mixture of snrs n assts) went to Club Street for more liquor! 1 bottle of Chivas, coke n green tea! Let the mixing n drinking begin! WE played some drinking games (guess the number, truth or dare which resulted in an intimate moment b/n 2 guys etc...) I had a total of 3 rather potent mix of Chivas n green tea, mixed with the previous glasses i had, n i announced 'that's it'. But this time, I was able to walk on my own (in a straight line) n I am certain I did not blubber... So much better than that time in Perhentian when i needed Sebastian to carry me n i blubbered then. But of cos still drunk this time. Went home to vomit! 1st time i vomitted...so i guessed i had too much.

2nd day woke up hungover n headache...But i still persevered n went to the gym for 1hr of combatting n 1hr of yoga!! To clear my mind! After which it was farewell dinner at cafe iguana for my dear fren Qinyi who is going to Vietnam for work. She'll be away for 1.5yrs in Vietnam. Ha, now i have a reason to go Ho Chi Minh! All the best to u Qinyi!

My Henna

Nice? Another Henna on my hand, this time much nicer design. I love this, though the colour after the scab is peeled is alot lighter (becomes brownish, so no pict taken cos not as nice). Got this for free at California Gym on Sat cos of the Mother's Day promo they were having. My lucky day! N Of cos I must try it! Leave a mark (temporary one) on my hand is a nice feeling haha...Especially for someone who is thinking of getting a tatoo soon on her body. But of cos this is not the design i'm going to get. Still waiting for Sebastian to draw more designs for me to choose instead of pinning on just that particular one design. Shall ask for opinions when i have those designs to choose from. This time, I think i'm serious. Got advice from colleague that it is alrite, only a bit more painful than ant bite (more like big ant bite) so i shall go do it! Yes, another change for me, about time. I'm going to get a tatoo, n cut my hair again! This time to a shorter length, realli short at the back, but long fringe... Sounds stylish rite...Vict Beckhams is sporting this hairstyle now so i'm just going to get it in maybe 2mths' time. Sth like this:

This is the style i'm looking for. There, u c it here 1st!

On another note, Today is a sad n heavy day for me. My best friend has just got her heart broken by her bf. N she was devastated! Really really devastated. It was really heart breaking to c her just now, all shacked, tired, worn down n crying... Her eyes were both swollen. It was really the 1st time i saw her so vulnerable n alone. A 5yr relationship is not sth that is easily forgotten or let go, but since it has come to this ending, she just has to accept the fact n move on. Cindy, be brave, u have a grp of friends n ur family to support u and help u pull thr this tough period. I'll make sure to jio u out to party next time n we'll go man-hunting :)

Perhentive Dive Trip 2007

After a break of almost 6 months, I'm on my way to obtain my Advanced Open Water Dive Certificate in Perhentian Islands!!!

Yes, Me n Tingmei decided to just do it 2 weeks prior to our departure. So we did a little research, booked our transport, called the dive center (Scubaholic) and went ahead with it.

Bus journey was long n tiring. Stupid bus broke down just 2hours into the ride and we had to wait for bloody 45 mins for another bus to pick us up. So sleepless night on the bus until the next morning when we reached Jerteh Terminal, where we waited for the bus to the jetty with a group of Malaysians. Then, it's a half hour boat ride to Coray Bay, where our destination is! Perhentian here we are!

Long beach

Me Under the coconut hut

Checked into our resort (fan-cooled n dusty) early in the morning and embarked on our journey. 1st off, to Long Beach for a walk, dip in the pool and some suntanning! It was a nice, sunny Thursday morning! After the visit, it was back to the dive shop to register our course. OUr instructor - Sebastian Ng! Some say he looks like Louis Koo (What do u think?) N Guess How old is he? He's only 26!!! Imagine, only 1 year my senior! More abt diving later cos the 1st day is just R&R.

Me n Sebastian (My Perhentian Husband)

Friends from Perhentian (Nik, Yenni, Carol, Angie, Sebast, Tingmei n Me)

Met Up with some of his other friends on the island - carol, Yenni and Angie. Chatted over dinner and headed off for drinks. TIng Mei fell sick after the dinner (due to heat stroke) and went off the bed earlier while we (Angie, Sebast n Me) Continued to chat. Tucked in to bed at 12am but had to wake up at 745am the next morning for my 1st dive!!

Poor Tingmei, fell sick, as such she had to abort the course. So it's down to only me alone taking the adv course with Sebastian. 1st dive was deep water diving, to about 23m. Wow. My descend was slow due to slow equalising and i was a little too heavy on the weights. But all else is good. Saw lotsa fishes ard n NO JELLYFISH!!! That's so damn important! Back to shore and more chatting session with Sebastian b4 the 2nd dive in the afternoon - Vietnamese Wreck.

Vietnamese Wreck = Lotsa jellyfish! Poor Sebast, had to keep saving me from jellyfish stings as there were juz too many for me to keep track. Haha...well what to do, that's the job of the instructor! To save his students! N he promised me that he would protect me from jellyfish. Great dive, tho visibility was poor. Saw baby sharks! 2nd break onshore b4 the highlight of the day - Night dive!

Night dive sounds scary because u'r diving in darkness, only a torchlight (which is not v bright). But the experience is quite interesting. Initially we were going to Sea Bell Rock, but it was swamped with jellyfish, so we changed to Romantic Beach. Not a bad choice ( I do not want to be stung). Saw plenty of fishes, prawn n crab! Scary at 1st but u'll get used to it. Night time activity - Chatting session with Carol, Yenni, Angie, Tingmei, Sebast! Sebast n Me Had special massage from Angie! It was great! Helped to relieve our muscle tension.

3 dives down, 2 more to go. The next day, dive number 4 was photography and there is just nth much to say about it. My underwater photography sucks and the place wasn't really that great. Saw lotsa nemos, stingray but other than that it was just sand. Last dive of the day was navigation and as usual nth much. I sucked at my triangle navigation and Sebast had to pull me back. Furnie thing was, i thot the tug was coral tangling my fins and i kicked it off until he pulled harder the 2nd time! Ha.. My fault. That marks the end of my Adv course! Now i'm a certified Adv O/W Diver! That calls for celebration which will happen later in the night! A furnie thing happened b4 our drinking session. This stupid german guy came to ask Sebast abt diving, and I just happened to be standing beside Sebast. So the german guy just turned and asked me 'R U his wife'? WTF!! Both of us nearly fainted! So being furnie, we admitted to the German guy (just for fun) and we just started calling each other 'Lao Gong' 'Lao Po' (Husband n wife) Haha crazy. This just goes to show when u go to an island, u can alwz do the craziest things!

Jamming session (with liquor n beers)

Yes, back to drinking session! 2 bottles of volka n cans of beers! We just drank, talked and had entertainment in the form of guitar and singing. N Yes, I got pretty drunk! Sebast had to carry me back to my room and watch me fall asleep. I totally cannot remember (Even to this day) what i told him on the way, n he din want to specify. So let's just forget about it!

The next day, woke up with a headache n terrible mood. But, still went for an afternoon dive! Luckily i went! We went to Sugar wreck n it was great! Lotsa interesting things to c! Different types of fish, sharks again, jellyfish of cos! After the dive, it was rest time, time for a nap! NO more drinking session tonight. Tingmei had to return to S'pore while i stayed on. Rain poured heavily at night and we had to seek shelter inside the dive shop until it stopped. N that's when i spotted this reali cute guy - tom cruise look alike! Reali cute!!! Too bad he has got a gf (n an ugly one) damn! Back to my room n more chatting with Sebast b4 going to bed.

Tom Cruise look alike

My last whole day in perhentian the next day. What to do? More diving of cos!! Went Sea Bell Rock again to try our luck and it was great! Great visibility, no current. The dive was fantastic! Saw many fishes, eels...No Jellyfish (important) N we stayed in the water for 61min!! The longest ever and still not low on air! By the time we surfaced, e'ryone was a little tired! But that's not the last dive! We went for another one at 4pm, to the Black Reef. Sounds interesting, and indeed it was an interesting n exciting dive!

Initially down in the water, still ok. Then it got worse. Visibility is just fucking poor! N ricky (one of the dive instructor) swims too fast. Almost lost him on several occassions. Current is also v strong, till a point where we had to grab onto sth to steady ourselfs. Halfway thr, our team of 5 split up. Me with philo (Ricky's gf) n ricky, while another team comprise of Sebast n Cindy. It was so hard to swim cos the current was quite strong. After a while, all 5 of us were reunited, only to be separated again a while later, this time with me, ricky n cindy in front. Cindy was low on air so she had to hurry to inform ricky and b4 i cld catch up with them, they were gone! Yes gone. OUt of sight. I just could not catch up cos the current was too strong to swim pass. N for a few mins, I was lost! Seriously lost cos there was noone in my vicinity, i had no idea where I was n i was low on air (<50 bar =" low" air =" 0">

Beautiful sunset

By Sebastian

Artistic shot of me (by Sebastian) I love this!

That evening, me n Sebast went to the tip of Coral Bay for the sunset. Really beautiful! Nothing happening for the night, cos the next day is a sad day for me. Time to say GoodBye to Perhentians.

The next morning, woke up with stomachache. Went to the toilet twice! Must have been the sotong I ate the other night. Spent the whole morning just lazing ard, dipping in the pool n doing nth! Left Perhentian at 4pm with Philo for my journey back home!

The minute i reach S'pore the next morning, diarhorrea sets in. For the whole day, toilet was my best friend and I lost 2kg in just 1 day! What a way to lose weight!

I love Perhentian and I would definitely go back again. N I was told I looked like GiGi Leung (HK singer). Hahah. I hv no comments, no1 has ever told me that b4, except them...so happy la hahahah

Wow I managed to surmarise the long trip (6D5N) to such a short para... So proud of myself!

Oh, N Sebast has managed to convince me to get a tatoo at my lower back. Yes, below the waist, just abv the butt. Sexy place! N he drew a pict for me to tatoo. Crazy me, promised him i'll do it and use his picture and to get it done b4 i go back for another visit this year. Ok So i really have to do it now! ahahahahha...Things pple do when they'r on an island.

Do I look Christian?

Do I have Christianity imprinted on my forehead?

Why do alot of people assume I'm Christian? Without even asking. Just by looking at me? It's weird! Doesn't just happen once. Happened more than 3 times!

My colleagues just asked me if I'm christian cos I have the christian look. Huh? What the hell is a christian look? If you r saying I look like an angel, have the holy look, ok I accept. But I'm still not a christian. Still, don't understand. What does it mean by 'you hv a christian look'? Is there such a thing called 'christian look'? The other day, this taxi driver was driving pass City Harvest Church n he just asked me 'Do you go here on Sunday'? I gave him a blank look. Why should i? Just assume I'm christian. This is even more blatant. Not asking 'R u christian', but 'do u go to this particular church'. Already thinks I'm christian.

FYI, I'm a free thinker!! Meaning i have no allegiance to any sort of religion. I believe in myself. Self reliance. I'm not atheist ok. No offence to christian, but i prefer free-thinker. At least i have no restrictions. I can visit temples, churches, mosques, hindu temples...whatever. Personally, i prefer buddhism to christianity. For obvious reasons i shall not divulge much here. I think alot of christians r abit over the top. Not all, but alot. Esp those city harvest ones. Like cult. Ops i should stop.

Anyway, i think all gods r the same. So y discriminate? Aiy, best is just believe in urself. Life lies in your hands! U shape ur future. Miracles? Do they exist? If they do, y haven't they happen to me? Oh maybe cos i don't believe in religion? So discriminating!

Maybe i should practice my looks. How to look non-christian?

Gunung Belumut 22 April 2007

My 1st official mountain trekking! Chiangmai's trek not considered.

Gunung Belumut - Height 1010m. Place Kluang. Time of trek 4hrs up, 3.5hrs down.

Great fun! N Shiok! N Shack!

Set-off time: A bloody unearthy hour of 630am at Marsiling MRT! Means I had to get up at 5am, take a cab down. In the end, I woke up at 520am (cos i shut the alarm off when it went off). Can't help it, only had 4hrs of sleep, n i'm a pig who needs sleep.

Trip there was smooth, cos i slept all the way. But the road became bumpy when we were abt 1 hr from Kluang, so it was like a rollar coaster ride.

After a breakfast of unappetising oily noodles (which i only had a few bites), we start off! Up the mountain we go! Yippie!

Group photo b4 the trek

Me at waterfall!

Beginning trek was easy, slight upslopes and flat terrain. Smooth sailing for me! Though i was already perspiring haf hr into the trek. Stopped at a waterfall to rest before we headed off for the more 'exciting' part of the trek - UPHILLS!!!

This is more challenging than Chiangmai. At times I had to be tarzan, swinging myself up the slope or jumping down by holding on to tree branches. Yes, I was on all 4s at times. Mountaineering is not Glam. So members of Tai-Tai Ltd pls do not attempt!

After flights of slope after slope and 3hrs into the climb, we faced the most challenging slope of the trek! Steep slope up with huge gaps in between! This is the time to get down n dirty, climbing up on all 4s, hauling myself up with pure arm strength n leg muscles (i can feel the workout, my butt n legs must be damn toned now).

Finally after 4hrs, we arrived at the not so fantastic summit. Yes, it is only a small patch of land at the summit n u have to climb up the big rock to view the not so fantastic scenery.

View from the top

Me at the top
Ladies at the top

Just as we were well rested, God of Thunder decided to exercise abit and sent pelts of rain down on us! Oh great! Rainy descend. How great can it get! No choice. We had to descend bravely amidst the rain. Slippery slopes n muddy ground awaited us ahead! ARmed with raincoats, we started our descent.

Going up is tough, but coming down is even tougher! My legs just went wobbly half hour down. The strain on the knees and legs is just much more than going up. But never give up! Jumping from one point to another, taking gigantic steps, getting really dirty n muddy everywhere! 3.5hrs later, we saw the light! The exit point! Yeah! We have made it! I have conquered Mount Belumut! 7.5hrs of non-stopping trekking (ok, there were a few breaks in between which latest a total of maybe 15mins n a brief lunch stop of 10mins). This is damn exhilirating & shiok!

Journey back saw most of us slumber into deep sleep. Too tired to talk or do anything else.

N i woke up today with slight muscle ache. Only slight, which I'm proud of myself cos that means I'm an active person!!!

On a side note, I was the 1st lady to reach the top out of our group! Haha...

Oh no unglam photos of me available on this post. Ha I've hidden all those away!!!

Not ruling out another trekking trip though.

More pictures at my Ofoto website

Next adventure trip - Advanced Diving course at Pulau Perhentian!!!!! Yippie!

Busy Hectic Weeks at Work...

Yes, Finally I feel the peak and i'm hating it. Ok, not as bad as some of my peers but still it sucks. That is probably why i don blog that often now cos

1) No internet connection at my client's place
2) No life = Nothing to blog about
3) Work bloody late, no mood & energy to go online by the time i'm back home

3 main reasons. My life these few weeks has been

a) Morning taxi to client's place (enroute picking up colleagues)
b) Work whole day away
c) Late night taxi back home (reaching home after 1am)
d) wash up & sleep at 2am
e) Next day morning wake up at 7am again
f) whole routine starts again

Day in day out it has been like that. Mon- Fri, and some sats & suns. How to get a life with this kinda working condition? Even if you want to, you don't have the energy to. At the end of the day, u just want to go home & sleep. Even wkends, u feel damn tired. Damn, cannot like that, must get a life! And those late nights have taken a toll on me (showing on my face, outbreak!!! I need more beetroot juice)

So finally this wkend not so tight. Met friends for dinner on sat (reunion dinner). Yes, our dear Jane (a.k.a Mrs Yong) is finally back from lazy, boring Adelaide for a short week in Singapore. She still looks the same, though she keeps complaining she's gotten fat. But it was a great reunion. We were just talking, laughing, gossiping the night away. Back to the good old days when all of us were still in EY audit dept. Now out of the 7 of us, only tingmei & me are the sole survivor in EY audit. Sad but that's reality. Now they're betting on who will stay in EY longer - Me or Tingmei. N I"m leading the pack. Damn. Good or bad? Maybe I shld stop telling pple I want to leave EY cos most of the time, the ones who keep saying will stay the longest. So I shall keep quiet and throw them a surprise bomb!

So dear ex-colleagues & friends (both in Singapore & overseas) please keep me posted of any job opportunities! Internal Audit jobs are most welcomed! Accountants? Not interested.

Another great night out today. New Asia Bar. Good thing on Sun = Not crowded! So there were plenty of seats! Went at 5pm instead and stayed for the sunset & happy hour! And no, did not get drunk & not a place to get drunk. Yes, there is a place to get drunk.

Was great meeting up with Mei Mei & Angeline. Just talking crap throughout the night. N we made a pact to go clark quay in May! Yes, we want to experience the so-called improved night life in Singapore. And what better place then to start from Clark Quay! Probably going to 'The Clinic' to get the hospitalised experience! Hahah.
Damn, tomorrow is another terrible start of the week ahead. I need sleep!!!

FY2007 travel plan

Nice MV, great music, great guitarist!! Especially the middle part! Think is shot in France or somewhere in europe... That guy in the MV is french cos he speaks french haha (J'Taime, at least that's the french word i can make out... French sounds so sexy & romantic)

Maybe I should go France someday...I will go but dono when yet....

Talking abt travelling..Damn it..I don't know where to go this year! Diving trip is a must this year.. Don't want to waste my diving license. But my long annual trip? Actually planned to travel ard indo-chine in May-June but now got a big crazy sad news that a job has to start during that period, meaning no go for any travel plans during that period. So now what? After that period, hard to find pple to travel, haha maybe I shall do it alone again! Think I shall go london. Never been to london (too expensive and doesnt sound really great though) But well, I can do some visiting there, stay for free, and travel out of london abit..Needs some big planning which i have no time as yet. Anyway, think can only go for a long trip after july so plenty of time to plan.

Love travelling though not an avid traveller (i only travel once or twice a year, not all the time). N i love to backpack! The freedom to go as and when u want, the freedom to decide what u want to do and freedom to meet pple from all walks of life! I don't need luxury, just a normal bed for me to sleep at night. Anyway u'r out walking >80% of the time! So what's a 5 star hotel for? Some of my frens cannot stand that. They need hotels! Decent bed, decent food. Budget is a no-go for them. Well, i'm not saying i dont eat, just that i don't spend unnecessary money on food. As long as i'm fed, i don't care if it's just bread and soup.

One of my fren says that he will not stay in hostel cos he feels it's not safe. Ha. But if u'r backpacking, stayin in hostel is the way to go! U get to meet pple from different countries, share ur travel experiences and make new frens! It's actually quite fun! Staying in hotel means u'r just cooped up in the room n have few interactions with other pple. Sometimes, u need to 'torture' ursef a bit hahaha... Too much luxury and comfort at home, so rough it out when u'r outside! Maybe that's why i always lose weight when i travel. But i had fun doing that. Not torturous to me at all! Wah sounds like i'm a sadist hahaha...Not easy to find pple who can rough it out.. Most of my closer frens cannot do that.

But the worse part of backpacking is the planning stage. Need to plan out the places u want to visit, how to get there, especially if the plan is to go to several places. Transportation is not so easy to sort out in some places. But well, no pain no gain! Come to think of it, i do almost all of the planning for the backpacking trips i've been to so far - NZ (graduation trip), Chiangmai-Hanoi (that one no choice cos i was alone), Russia (Mei Mei did alot of the planning cos i had no time but i had my inputs as well), Phuket (diving trip which I planned all the way). Such accomplishment! Haha so proud of myself that I actually did all those! And also, I'm a good map reader! Who says Women can't read maps? I prove them all WRONG!

So... London this year, hopefully cambodia this year as well (if i can spare 1 week in may). Next year? Don't know... Like i mentioned before, i want to go to too many places that i don't have time! Tibet, Mongolia, China (for Olympics). I also want to go Spain!! South America!! I shall start to plan earlier for my next year's trip...HOpefully...

But well, 1st of all, I have to get through this tough April month. Feeling like a robot now. Everyday in the morning go to work, work all the way till 11-12pm, go home, reach home around 1+am, bath, tidy up, read news, go sleep close to 2am. Then the next day, wake up in the early morning and start the same routine over again. So no life rite... Don't even have the time n energy to log on the Internet to find pple to talk to & relief stress. Worse case -- I'm situated in Changi now! The worse possible scenario for someone living in the extreme west!! I should just rent a room in the east 'cos >50% of my time (in the whole year), i'm to be stationed in offices in the east!!! What luck!!

1 more mth to go. Gambatte!

Oh Happy April Fool's Day!

Musical Fountain Swansong in Sentosa

Yes, our very own Musical Fountain, one of the main attractions in Sentosa is set to permanently close down on 26th March 2007. So sad. So of course I had to go for 1 last look. But our agenda for the day is not limited to just Sentosa. 1st stop KTV in chinatown, then Musical Fountain in Sentosa.

We had to cut short our KTV session (left at 6pm instead of 7pm) so that we could head to Sentosa early to book seats for the 740pm show. Yes, it is really very very popular with tourists & visitors to Sentosa. Took the Sentosa Express (similar to LRT) from Vivo to Sentosa.

1st stop, Merlion Tower! But of course that's not our main purpose, it's just a passing by stop. But of course, photo stop time for remembrance.

And a 5mins walk brought us to Musical Fountain! It was only 7pm (40mins before the show) and the place was DAMN PACKED!! Really damn packed!! Never have we seen the musical fountain being so crowded with people! Must have been the news that it is going to close down forever on Monday. In the end, we had to settle on the extreme right corner, 4th row. Not the greatest seats, but better than nothing.

Crowded with people at Musical Fountain

At 740pm, the show starts! Water starts spurting out with the music, twirling shots of water, colour & lasers! After about 20mins, the whole thing ended and off we went. Last time u'll ever see this in Singapore. No more musical fountain :( OH but there's an underwater show currently under construction at the siloso beach. But u'll have to pay for this show! Well we'll wait for it to be completed and take a look. Maybe it'll be worth it.

The show starts!

More of the musical fountain

After show stop - Food Court. For a light snack at Food Republic in Vivocity. Then it's back home and waiting for Stupid Monday to come.

Took a fantastic video of the musical fountain. Shall post tomorrow cos it's taking damn long to load on youtube b4 i can post it here.

Philosophical Ramblings - Blissfulness

Blissful. My friend and I were talking about this subject the other day, just because I saw him declare in his MSN that he had received encouragement & bliss.

So what is blissfulness? How do u define being blissful?

Having a great and stable relationship that makes u bright and happy everyday.
Having a balanced life between family and career.
Having achieved good results for ur studies.
Or just simply being able to enjoy your favourite ice-cream for the day!

Being blissful depends very much on individual. It’s the way of thinking that defines bliss. How you think n how u feel that defines the feeling of bliss. My friend has found bliss because he has learnt to take things easy & let go of the unimportant aspects of life. Holding on to too much can be nerve-wrecking and distorts your life.

Have I found bliss? Nope. I’m not so magnanimous as my friend. I cannot say I’ve found bliss until I’m sure of it. Yes, my family is intact, we’re not living in poverty, I’ve a job with stable income (though crazy hours), I’m surrounded by great friends, I’ve traveled to several places. Some people would say that I should feel blissful because I’m not affected by any natural disasters or catastrophe. But I guess how one defines bliss is dependent on his/her situation and place. Someone in the 3rd world would say it’s a blessing if they get to eat some food, or an intact shelter for the night. For us, do we or should we stop there? That’s why I said earlier, blissful is vague. Blissful is just a term coined by some linguist and how you define it is up there in ur mind.

Yes, I know I’m lucky, but there’s still more to come before I can truly say that I’m blessed. Some people might start throwing eggs at me for blatantly declaring myself not blissful despite all the facts I’ve stated earlier. But I’m not saying that I’m NOT blissful. I’m just saying that I have not attained the feeling of bliss. There’s a subtle difference in the phrasing.

I’m not doing the best job in the world and probably will feel better if I change job.
I’m too much of a hermit (someone who lives in the mountains, meaning someone who has not seen much of the world), that’s why I always get commented that I’m not a Singaporean because I don’t know my own country that well! I should get out n explore my own country but I’m always too lazy to do so, and with no company it’s out of the question (I need to be motivated)
I’m working too hard (sometimes only, though I’m much luckier than a lot of my peers).

I think it’s still too early to confirm that you’ve attained blissfulness because there’s still a long, long way lying ahead of u! It would be too early to judge yourself at this point in time. Maybe 10 years down the road, I might be able to say I’m blissful, but you’ll never know what happens. Life is like a rollercoaster. Ups and downs. Life is also full of cross roads, each intersection bringing you to a different beginning, a different journey, and each choice you make will help mould the outcome. So why judge yourself today? Let nature takes its course! You will never know what you will meet until you make that choice, and even so, there are lots of external influences that will alter the route you choose. so instead of giving yourself a death sentence before u try it out, y not try it out n let it unravel! That’s always my take of life. Sometimes some choices seem obvious to have a predictable ending, but I’m not going to let that stop me from choosing it. Because u never really know. Maybe along the way, some miracles do happen (yes I like to believe in miracles) and ultimately the ending becomes a happy ending! You would have missed out a good one if you chose to reject the choice in the 1st place, and you’ll be left regretting for the rest of ur life. But of course, not all is rosy pink. Sometimes, the choice really turns out to lead to the unhappy ending, but I feel that every route u take is an experience and life-lesson. It might bring u happiness (though short-lived) but at least you’ve had happiness.

It’s better to have lived than to regret. Along the way, you learn to mould your personality and your view of life changes. But of course, it brings along some hurt & sadness, being part & parcel of life. If only life can really be smooth sailing (NEVER!!) then it wouldn’t be called life!

So philosophical. Ha. That was what we talked about. I think my friend is also very philosophical. Crappy lar! Talking about life like we’ve had loads of life experience. Just my 2 cents worth of thoughts. Though it makes a lot of sense, I welcome any comments of objections on my pin-holed view of life.

Sorry for the lengthy and wordy blog though. I thought I should write sth with more depth once in a while to show my blog-worthiness!!

This Sunday going to the Musical Fountain in Sentosa! It is going to close down on 26th March to make way for the IR (Integrated Resort), so hurry up! Head down to see the last few shows before you’ll forever lose the chance to watch any! That's like 2 days later!!

Friday Night Out

Eventful Friday! Yes, even though I was on SATS job starting last week, it was still not too tough yet. 1st week is honeymoon week...B4 we all start sloughing it out starting TMR!!!

Bday celebration for Diego. 1st stop was dinner at Carnivore (Brazil restaurant) followed by MOS! I'm a MOS virgin. Nvr been to MOS b4. Actually i have not been clubbing much. This is perhaps the 3rd time. 1st was Zouk in Uni yr 1, 2nd was Zouk? or some clubs along Mohd Sultan (can't rem). N MOS is the 3rd time. Not much of a clubber but i njoy pubs for a drink n chat with frens. What did I think of it? It was fun! The music was great, the company was great, e'rything was fun!

Prior to entering MOS, we had the 1st round of drinks. Volka + Orange Juice. Actually it doesnt taste too bad! Like margarita, which I like! Hw much did i drank? Hm not alot, prob juz 1 small glass i think. OUr bday boy drank the rest of the volka purely by itself! That was like more than 2 shots of absolute volka! Imagine the burning sensation!

I particularly like the R&B room and the disco room in MOS. Great music! Had another volka mix in MOS, was still standing after. The bomber was the last drink. Yes, they had said that I would be drunk by the end of the day, but I insisted I would not be. But who knows! The last drink, whatever it was called (I nvr got to find out). Some red colour liquor mixed with dono what, n lit by a flame. Tasted really potent! After that went down my lungs, I declare I was out! 1st few minutes was ok. Then, it started. Wobbly legs & the surrounding seemed a little spinning. I still looked pretty much sober but i knew i was not quite as sober. Hey at least I admit i was wasted! Some pple deny they're drunk when they in fact are! These r the pple who r really really drunk. I know it when I'm a goner. N That moment, i was a goner. But hey, at least I was still able to talk cohesively, walk rather firmly (ok i was wobbly, had to have help from D)

Well but that did not leave a bad scar in my memory. I still njoyed the night, it was still great fun! I had a great time in MOS, dancing to the music. Oh shit, the wild side of me is slowly emerging... Or maybe the quiet side of me has alwz been juz a farce, juz a mask, hiding the real me??? Come on then, MOS, velvet, zouk, dbl, bring it on! I'm all for it!! Next time, I shall not get drunk...Or I hope so

Oh...took a great number of picts but not with me...Wait for him to upload b4 i can get them.. Will post some nice picts once i get them(u will not c any picts of me looking out of plc, i refuse to disclose those, not to say u'll ever c me ugly hahaha)

Oh n i had post MOS injury. Damn it. Swollen left eye & a bump on the left side of my forehead when i woke up the next morning. Damn. Don't even know why n how those injuries got there.

Hurts ok. Now i have got ugly swollen left eye. Nope, no picts to show, of cos i will NOT publish unflattering picts of myself hahahah....Luckily i have my fringe to cover up the uglyness so the bump & the swollen left eye will not show to pple far away..

Watching America's Next TOp Model Cycle 8 (miss cycle 7 cos cannot find online). Damn short hair looks really cool! I have to cut mine soon. May or july??? Hahha... i know, pple r going to say i'm crazy but i don't care. The short hair (boyish cut) with long fringe looks really great. I think i can carry that look.

Till then, next week shall start the bootcamp training.

The Entry with No Relevance

Yes, This is a total nonsensical entry..Just random nonsensical ramblings

Start of the nightmare audit job - SATS situated right at the other far end of the country - Changi Cargo Complex. That depressing place. So remotely disconnected to the rest of the world. Surviving only on the food on offer in the small canteen inside the Complex. Stuck there for 2 whole months, working crazy hours. I shall survive! Blast more music to keep me awake. Good thing is FRUIT JUICE!!! SATS canteen has fantastic Fruit Juices!! Cheap & nice! Friends, feel free to call me anytime of the day especially at night...Yes I need some form of entertainment to keep me awake & entertained cos I'm gg to be damn depressed working in that place. so CALL ME!! or at least ENTERTAIN ME with any form of gossips or news!!!

Realised I stomp my feet whenever I walk. Yes, when i say STOMP, i mean STOMP!! 'Pah Pah Pah' & with heels. I think it is kinda cool & stylo..Don't u think.. Like models strutting down the walkway.. Keke..din realise it until my colleague told me i stomp when I walk.. Can't help it, I like to STOMP. No wunder my shoes get worn out so quickly, especially the heels. But well, i'm a woman, & woman LOVES to collect shoes!!! I have a valid excuse! Yeah

I've been getting great comments on my new haircut! Everyone is saying it looks good on me & very stylish! My colleague told me he always wants to call me 性格女 (aka Miss personality or Miss Stylish) Haa..Cool I like that! My client also commented that I look much better now, more energised & refreshed as compared to days when i had long long hair. Great! Well, that's because I have strong face structure!! Hahaha, i shall stop being so self-obsessed. But it's true that women with strong face structure look great with short hair!

Was watching America's Next Top Model Cycle 7 clips, and noted this particular contestant AJ, who has super short hair! But stylishly short. N I LOVE IT!! I was telling to myself that I want to get that haircut! It's really super short mind u, like boyish cut, with long fringe. So stylish rite! Yes, maybe in July that'l be my next transformation. No, I will NOT go bald.

Watched 300 on Sunday (it's the title of a movie abt Greek war). The only most memorable thing of the whole show - The Spartan warriors' abs!! Yes, ALL of them have well-defined, beautifully carved 8-pacs! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Damn. It's very glaring mind u. No wonder every man in the show does not wear anything except for 'Undies' and a cape. Who would want to hide such great body under the layers of cloth! U know the saying 'If u've got it, flaunt it'! Imagine 300 warriors with those fabulous abs ahhaha...

Oh in case those pple who read my blog do not know, I have quite a long list of links to other pple's blogs (Yes I know, u guys only click on my blog to read my ramblings that's of cos) But I must say Xiaxue's blog is pretty interesting. Click on it n read.

Keane - Somewhere only we know

My Favourite Song for the Moment

Somewhere Only We Know

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete

Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?

Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

And if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?

[break]

Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

So if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
So why don't we go

This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?

Nice song right.. The lyrics are simply beautiful and kinda sad...Falling so in love with this beautiful song

Locker Discrimination!!

WHazzup with the world Nowadays? Ganging up agt me?????

It hasn't been a smooth year for me in 2007... Quite a number of mishaps or should i say unfortunate events have happened to me or ard me (affected me directly & indirectly). Damn, what's wrong with 2007? Isn't this year s'posed to be an above average year for those born in the year of Dog?? I have not felt any form of luck or good fortunate bestowed upon me...Or is it a case of 先苦后甜 (endure the pains of suffering b4 u enjoy the fruits of success)?

1st up, case of discrimination by staff from Tiffany's (as mentioned in my previous blog), of cos not to mention no luck in striking ToTo. Then laptop got virus gota take it down to IT dept for scanning & quarantine. Then, files not reviewed by partner even after telling him it's urgent, ended up kena by client in a not very nice tone. This is just what have happened in the past week (meaning Mon-thur). Almost like 1 each day. Fuck!

Today? Yes discrimination by even the bloody lifeless LOCKER!!! Went swimming after work, happily changed and walked to the electronic locker. E'rything seemed alrite, until when i tried to insert the money to activate it. What happened? Nothing!! Precisely nothing!! U'r s'posed to insert the money, and then u can lock it. But nth happened! Ended up toying with the bloody system for like 10 mins. Even the lifeguards had to come over to figure out the problem. Ended up not being able to use the locker, so I had to just put my belongings on the benches (not v safe) with the lifeguard promising to look after for me (he himself admit that the locker is cocked up).

On my way home, had to walk a big circle cos the front entrance is blocked due to some soccer match. Damn! So damn unlucky!

Mr alvin tan says I look BIG in the pictures. Yes he used the word BIG. What does that mean? Kaoz. Big = ??? Fat say fat! BIG, what the fuck? Damn, must go on diet but super peak is coming next week, no time to exercise more often. HOW HOW HOW?!?! BIG!! I'm BIG!! Damn. Must stop late night snacking on nuts. Must stop eating heaty, fried food. Must force myself to continue to be healthy. MUST MUST MUST. Damn.

Super peak starting next week. Doing SATS (Singapore Airport Terminal Services). Right at the other end of the country - Changi Cargo Complex. At least 1hr travelling time by cab from my home to the place. Always 1st in, last out. Hate it. Bless me luck.

Discrimination?!?!?!

Went shopping on Tuesday night after work at Taka (Yes, the high class, chic shopping mall) for Priy's farewell gift (Yes, he's a high class person which explains Taka as shopping grds). After seeking advice from a guy friend (who happens to LOVE shopping), finally decided upon Tiffany's cufflinks ("Please return to Tiffany" range). Saves the trouble of racking my brain for things to buy. Why is it so damn difficult to buy sth for a guy? U can't just buy any accessories (not like for us gals, necklaces or earrings r just fine), u obviously can't buy soft toys or ornaments. & what have u left? Watches, belts, ties...All these ex stuff.

Anyway, it was pouring rain so was rather moody. Decided to stop by other chi-chi shops to browse through the cufflinks & guess what? Damn expensive!! Cufflinks r so small, but they cost a BOMB!! Cartier sells them for at least $800! Faint! But really really nice!

After that price scare, decided to just head for Tiffany (cos I know how much that particular cufflinks cost!).

Walked in, feeling anonymous. No one bothers to come up to attend to me. I don't look high class enough??

Walked towards the cufflinks counter. The guy at the counter was attending to a pair of tourists (mind u, rich tourists) and just happened to finish with them. So there I was standing and looking for at least 5 minutes, and the guy didn't even bothered to ask me what I want or to tell me to wait a while! Am I invisible?!?! Then he just walked off with the tourists. So there I was, left unattended.

10mins passed (or at least it seemed so to me). Then, a foreigner walked in (a.k.a. angmoh as we know in SG). Looking at cufflinks as well. Within a few mins, a lady walked over to our counter & guess what? Despite me being there 1st, she directed her concerns to HIM!!!! I'm invisible again! She didn't even bother to ask if I need help! Irritated, I just interrupted them & told her exactly what I wanted! All it took was like abt 5mins, but I was made to wait for more than 15mins! N u can just sense that the attitude towards me & HIM is different! Ok I'm not rich, but I'm still a customer! I know I only bought a $280 cufflinks but it's still money right.. Mind u, $280 for a pair of cufflinks that's only the size of maybe a 20 cent coin...Expensive Ok. Though it looks quite nice.
This is the pair of cufflinks the size of 20 cent coin

Since I bought sth 1st, she had to attend to me, and told HIM to wait while she finish with me. She told him to wait!! HE was informed! Me? That 1st guy didn't even tell me anything and just walked off!! Discrimination!!!!!

1st time buying sth at such high class boutique...n all I got is this. Sucks! Complain? I couldn't even be bothered to fill in the forms! What for? Does it serve a purpose? Maybe, maybe not. This topic has been debated long before, but y is it still prevalent?

Here Comes the Bride...N THe Media Frenzy Starts!!

What's the hottest gossip news in town? Of cos it's the Liz Hurley wedding to Indian multi-millionaire businessman Artun Nayar.

Oh talking abt indians, let me side-track a little.. I need to report a case of ABNs on the loose on Sunday afternoon!! A whole bunch of them dancing & frolicking in NTU campus, HALF NAKED!!! N Rolled in Mud! eeks...Sorie..I'm a little biased against Banglas (a.k.a ABNs courtesy of my bro - Ah Bu Nehs) Broad daylight!! Dancing & frolicking half naked, and rolled in mud!! Imagine! Ok, some of u might ask - Maybe it's their colour, not mud. But rest assured! I have examined & concluded that it's mud on their bodies. Evidence - The ground appeared to be dug up, I'm sure they wore pants or shorts & their pants or shorts r also the same colour (light-brown), and lastly, mud is light brown not dark brown.

Ok stop the racism. Back to case in point. The lavish wedding of the year! Liz Hurley & Artun Nayar (41 vs 42 years old). Now why is it that celebrities always get to hook up with millionaires, billionaires, tycoons? How lavish is their wedding? Absurdly lavish! The amount they spent on the wedding is enough for my whole lifetime spending!! Show me the money! & I can quit my job but still live comfortably for the rest of my life!! Damn those rich people.

Let's go step by step through their wedding venues (cos we r sure to be lost) Yes that's right, they do not stop at just 1 church!

1st stop - Married in Sudedley Castle in the Cotswolds. Take a look at this castle! How magnificent! Getting married in a castle! That's so fairytale!! Damn, that's like every ladies' dream!

2nd stop - Blessing in a local church. No mention of name, can't search for the picture but i'm sure it is no small church. It has to be grand grand grand!

3rd stop - Fly to india to continue the wedding. Yes it does not just stop in England. They just have to continue in india (cos the groom is indian). And guess what, it's not just a 1 day event. It is 5 days of celebration!! Crazy people! 5-day Hindu traditional ceremony. Omigod! 1 wedding is already a bomb, they're going to hold a 5-day wedding! So let's take a mind trip down the list of places they're going to be

1st stop - Nothing fantastic, just a family gathering

2nd stop - Umaid Bhavan Palace, the former home of the Maharaja of Jodhpur. Behold the grand palace!

Palace again!! Ok this is the place they (the couple) are going to be staying in during the length of their wedding. The cost of 1 night stay (cheapest) is USD 435 for single occupancy. The couple? Surely they're going for the Maharani Suite which is USD 4K!

"Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace at Jodhpur is one of the largest and grandest private residences in the world. The palace was built by 3000 artisans worked over 14 years. The palace consumed one million square feet of the finest marble. "

Mehrangarh Fort - Another party venue for the wedding. Nice place for a party. On a mountain top.

That's about all...Oh & not to forget those hen parties, preparations, all those celebs guests... Star-studded event of the year! All those money that goes into this. Crazy!! What to do, she's Liz Hurley, with a millionaire hubby. All the money to spend! Anyway, they benefit from all the coverages from magazines (they get paid for those coverages ok) and not to forget gifts & blessings from their equally rich celeb frens. I have to get a celeb fren!!!

A little too lavish i think. But then again, alot of women want their wedding to be grand cos as they say it's a once in a lifetime thing (unless u'r elizabeth taylor). But wedding is the union of 2 parties, not ur whole village! I don't like it when u invite 40 tables and only maybe about 5 tables are people u know. The others are relatives whom u might not have seen in the past few years. I prefer a more intimate affair. Like a small garden party, u know more like those western styles we see on TV & movies! Where the couple takes the 1st dance... Sounds much more romantic!

Or a beach wedding! I like that (cos i'm a beach babe!) Cool & fun concept, not rigid & conventional. E'ryone decked in casual wear or their best party dress & just party all the way! It's so much fun! I don't like hassle.. This is much more intimate & fun! Don't have to wait forever for e'ryone to arrive, e'ryone can party & enjoy the event & more open! Yes, i shall aim to do that if, in the event, I get married. Hmm, maybe i shall psycho my fren to hold a beach party! She has this crazy idea of e'ryone in swimsuits, and swimming out to the centre of the sea for food. Crazy!! but beach party is fun! Especially with Cafe Del Mar at Sentosa think it'll be kinda cool! Of cos, sentosa is the best place in Singapore, we don't have any other nice beaches like overseas (damn!) unless u marry overseas! Of cos, the best is just a simple party in the afternoon, and off to honeymoon! Hahaha... Waiting for my knight in shining armour to sweep me off my feet...

Read this interesting article on Yahoo - "The Allure of The Bad Boy". Interesting topic to talk abt because this happens to alot of us women! Somehow or other, we get attracted to the bad boys at least once in our lifetime (ok, maybe some of u r exceptions). I admit that I do! Y? Maybe because they're different... The attitude they exude & just the way they look haha... Most of the time, bad boys are handsome! But sometimes, they just have the bad boy vibe but they're not really bad boys u know...Maybe we need a little excitement in our lives some times, that's y we're attracted to bad boys. But ultimately, to settle down, we need a reliable shoulder.

Anyway, try this quiz on ur afflictions towards bad boys:

Scoring Key
These questions are weighted in terms of severity. The more true answers you have going down the list, the more susceptible you are to bad boys.
Questions 1-10:
True answers in this category are no big deal unless you make a habit of it.
Questions 11-20:
These questions are much more indicative of susceptibility. If you answered true to items 11, 12, or 13, you may be able to get away with it -- but any true answers from 14 to 20 mean you are on the Bad Boy Hit List.
Questions 21-30:
If you answered true to any of these, you cannot date without parental permission, or at least with your closest friends’ permission. You run the risk of overlooking the nice guy right in front of your face.
My score? Ha..not close enuff! Damn & here i thought I'm into bad boys...Maybe i've been living a lie!! 6 'True' for 1st 10 qns, 2 'True' for 2nd set of 10, and 2 'True' for the last set of 10. Hmm I guess I'm really really a Good Girl!!! hahah... Yes, stop lying to myself, I'm a good girl!!!

Now, is opposite the truth? R Guys attracted to Bad Girls?? Any comments on that?

Farewell To The Best Audit Manager!!

First of all, I did not get any luck in ToTo draw...There goes my $10mil dream...

Anyway, Friday night - Priy's farewell party! Initial location - New Asia Bar, which was just too crowded (heck it was only 7pm & pple flocked to bar at such early hours!!) so we changed location to Ink bar at Raffles The Plaza. Cool place, nice decor & there's a live band coming on after 9pm! Definitely will come back again if given the chance!

Happy hour till 9pm all housepours, wines & beers at 50%! Great! Drinks & food session! Our dear lead - Priy arrived in his party outfit while all the rest of us were in office wear (yes we came after work). IT was a really fun session! Gossips, updates on recent happenings & plenty of laughter filled the entire night! Of cos not to mention photo sessions!! Taking turns to take pict with The Man of the Night!

Me & Priy

Me & Seow with Martinis & Margaritas in hand

The ladies & The Lucky Man!!

Group Photo of the whole DFS Team (past & present)

Yeah, & gossips filled the room, with us spilling all the dirt on other members on the DFS audit team, who were not present! The new manager who still owes the asst $3, 1 snr who showed affection for similar sex, interrogation on our love lives (as usual this is Priy's favourite topic). We all really had a great facial workout, suffering the pain from over-laughter! He's moving back to Brisbane, well another free accomodation when travelling (if travelling to Aussie). But b4 that, the 2 of us still have our chilli challenge to settle!
