Stuck in Train...AGAIN

What's with me and the train? Especially train commuting between city & airport, especially overseas ones....

Once again, I was stuck (with my colleagues) in a faulty train halfway through travelling from Stockholm airport & city centre, in the middle of nowhere with 1m of snow and -16 degrees temperature. Of cos, the train operator said it's only a technical fault and we'll fix it promptly. My advice -- NEVER TRUST THEM when they say they'll fix the problem. Cos they NEVER DO!! 15mins, followed by another 15mins.. No movement. Finally after 30mins of meaningless waiting, wasting time, they decided to wait for the nxt train to offload us. Good right? Of cos! But the irony of it? A train travelling in the same direction passed by us, stopped beside us but went on without taking us with it!! Yes, we waited for longer than we should when we could have jumped on the early train that passed by! Damn...

Brings back memories when I was stuck in NY train station due to a train fault & technical fault as well. Same thing happened when they said they're trying to fix the problem, but after 1hr, nothing could be fixed & back to square one...

Same setting - Snow covered ground, freezing temperatures, train travelling between city & airport, me wearing the same white winter coat... Damn!

I have to stop taking airport trains during winter time!

Of cos, it's better here in Stockholm, cos they ACTUALLY fixed the problem and ensured passengers could carry on with their travel without much fuss. Sure 30mins was wasted, but that's better than 7hrs, and wandering aimlessly right? Gota give credit to the swedish. FYI, trains do not just break down anyhow in sweden. Just so happen we were damn lucky! Hearsay it was a new train..So we could have been lucky if the train actually travelled without problem. Just so happen, the opposite had to happen...

Time for 'Proper English' Campaign??

Please do not drop the weights and place them back accordingly after used.

Violators against such behavior will result to termination of membership without any refund
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The above warning was printed and displayed prominently in a local, large-scale, crowded and multi-location gym in Singapore. Read and TRY to understand what it is trying to convey. Take a step back, and I think I know what it wants to say, but grammatically, I just can't figure out which side it is trying to support! It is a good ground for a lawsuit in the event of non-compliance with this rule!

Is it a result of over-emphasis on 'Speak Mandarin' campaign? Talk about irony...
